Dr. Edward Bach, a noted British homeopathic doctor, first discovered the healing value of flowers in the 1930's. In particular, he noted a direct correlation between negative psychological and emotional states of mind - worry, anxiety, irritability, impatience, etc. - and physical illness.
Bach identified 38 flowering plants that positively affected underlying emotions and psychological stress, and subsequently developed a range of 38 single remedies, each applicable to a different feeling or characteristic.
How to give the remedies...
Give to horses in a dose of 5 or 6 drops on a carrot or apple, or add a little water and syringe it into the mouth. Intensity is determined by frequency of dose, not by increasing the amount. After a sudden trauma, for example, Rescue Remedy may be given every 15 minutes until a change is seen. Humans should dilute 4 drops in a small glass of water and sip at frequent intervals until relief is felt.
